Why do we believe sometimes that we can succeed in business by just leaving Christ out from a few decisions? Sometimes I know we have the tendency to make 99 percent of the decisions with Him, but when something gets fishy, we just skip Him and jump right into it.
Do you know what I mean? For instance, making a credit card purchase on a whim when you know deep inside that it is not of God’s will. Or quickly upgrading to the new iPad 5 before your wife finds out. 🙂
Mt9:16-17 (AMP) And no one puts a piece of cloth that has not been shrunk on an old garment, for such a patch tears away from the garment and a worse rent (tear) is made. Neither is new wine put in old wineskins; for if it is, the skins burst and are [a]torn in pieces, and the wine is spilled and the skins are ruined. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.
It seems funny to me sometimes to see my flesh jump out of places where I would not expect. We can be so double-minded at times. Just watch this video that tells it so well:
I am stirred up and I hate when my flesh makes decisions in my life. Lord, just help us to be business people according to your own heart.
